RP Terminology

In-City Phrases

Term	Meaning
Flying In/Out	Entering or leaving the city (loading into or out of the server).
Waking Up	Another way of saying you’re joining the city.
Headache	Experiencing lag, connection issues, or performance drops.
In My Dreams / Head	Refers to OOC (Out of Character) talk or something outside of RP — should only be used when necessary.
Third Eye	Using your Alt key to interact with objects, players, or menus.
Muscles	Your keybinds or control buttons (e.g., “use your E muscle”).
Your Eyes	What you see on your screen or through your POV.
Heartbeat	Your HP (health) level.
Voicebox / Vocal Cords	Your microphone or in-game voice chat.
Locals	NPCs — non-player characters wandering the city.
Tsunami	A scheduled city restart or server reboot.
Bodycam	Recording software like Medal or OBS.
Emails	Discord messages or DMs.
Pockets	Your inventory.
Prayer	A support ticket or report request.
Angels	Staff members or admins.
Red Eyes	An admin warning or notification.
Brain	Your computer or hardware.
In the Bahamas	Banned from the server.
Spider-ing	When your character gets bugged or stuck (jumping usually fixes it).
Official	Whitelisted (approved for certain roles, jobs, or permissions).
Head Popped	Game crash or disconnect.
Tsunami	City restart or maintenance.
“Got a Headache”	Lagging or crashing issues.
Soul	Your character
Cousin	Another “soul” or character you have on the server.

Term	Meaning
OOC (Out of Character)	Refers to you, the player — not your in-game character. Used for real-world communication outside of RP.
IC (In Character)	Refers to your character and actions taken within the city. Anything said or done IC should fit your roleplay storyline.
Meta / Metagaming	Using information learned OOC to influence IC actions (for example, using Discord info in RP). This is not allowed.
Powergaming	Forcing unrealistic actions or using game mechanics unfairly (e.g., pulling someone from a car using the menu without RP).
Fail RP	Acting unrealistically or breaking immersion (e.g., using your phone while cuffed).
Fear for Your Life	You must act as if your character values their life. If someone has a gun to your head, you should comply and RP fear.
Godmodding / Godmode	Making yourself invincible or using cheats/mods to gain unfair advantages. Only admins/devs may have this ability for staff reasons.
Skybox	The OOC chat box — often used to type admin commands or for communication outside of character.
